  • Conduct “focused”, interactive, and educational mock survey activities via telephone and video conferencing. You pre-select the topics which may include:

    • How to comply with the new Joint Commission home care and hospice standards.

    • How to meet the intent of the National Patient Safety Goals (your organization’s compliance is available to the public for viewing).

    • How to avoid being cited for the top 10 problematic standards for accredited home care organizations.

    • How to avoid being cited for the top problematic home health standards under the new Conditions of Participation.

    • How to meet the intent of all applicable chapters, standards and conditions that you’re most concerned about.

    • How to prepare your staff for home visits with a surveyor.

    • How to prepare your documented evidence of compliance for a surveyor’s review.

  • “Ghostwrite” plans of correction following accreditation, state and/or federal surveys.

  • Review quality assessment and performance improvement data, and other key documents and data.

  • Conduct a review of patient records prior to submission to intermediary or review by surveyor.

  • Answer compliance questions by e-mail.
    Be prepared for an interactive session….

    • Invite as many staff as you would like to participate.

    • Write down your questions in advance to maximize your time.

    • Be able to discuss and demonstrate how your organization complies with the accreditation standards and Conditions of Participation discussed during the call.
